Forest Green Rovers Reserves again entertained a small crowd against a youthful AFC Bournmouth team well marshall by ex-Bristol City player Rob Newman, Currently the clubs assistant Manager.

Rovers first goal came in the 25th minute from the penalty spot, after George Webb handled a cross from Paul Stonehouse. Danny Carey-Bertram made no mistake with the spot-kick.

Alex Lawless added a second 2 minutes before the break, picking the ball up from 20 yards and lashing a low shot past the motionless keeper Gareth Stewart.

Shortwood striker James Singh was given a 30 minute run out and a neat run and cross from the right flank gave Carey-Bertram an easy tap in on 77 mins.

CHRIS GILES limped off in the last minute as Forest Green reserves lost 2-1 to their Swindon counterparts at Wanborough today.

Giles, in his comeback game following calf trouble, appeared to pull his calf again in the dying embers of a close-fought game. Meanwhile, Lee Dodgson completed a 90-minute shift as did trialist left-back Callum Hart following his release from Weymouth.

Earlier, Adriano Rigoglioso drew parity for Rovers with a skidding free-kick that took a deflection past Paul Smith. Kaid Mohamed opened the scoring inside the opening 20 minutes. However, Terry Burton saved well from Mohamed, but the latter bagged his second after the break as he beat Bur
